We all know there is no right or wrong way to style a wedding. The best way, is your way.
Sometimes the more modest weddings are the most beautiful and have a way of pulling at your heart strings – they make you laugh, make you cry or just make you want to dance the night away! The effort is in the sincere and personality-filled details.
The vintage garden feel to this wedding is just beautiful, and i particularly love the personality that’s gone into it, from writing their own vows to the retro music played throughout, this wedding looks like it was a whole lot of fun!
And check out the gorgeous bridal party – Imagine Images have done an amazing job of capturing the beauty of this day!
Chanel and Daniel were married at Manon’s House, Forresters Beach on 4th February 2012. We asked Chanel for the insider details…
The ceremony was short but sweet. We chose to write our own vows to add a unique, personal touch. I walked down the aisle to ‘Here There and Everywhere’ by the Beatles – a beautiful song that always manages to bring shivers to my spine.
Our entrance song was ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ by the Beatles. It is one of our favourites and we felt it perfectly portrayed the playful side of our unique relationship with our friends, family and eachother.
Our first dance was another retro tune – ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You’ by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Another of our favourite songs, this really was a moment frozen in time.
The venue was laced with fairy lights inside and out, paired with a predominantly ivory colour scheme, with a touch of pastel pink and apricot.
Being a Landscaper by trade, Dan is passionate about Australian native plants – so we came to a compromise with each table featuring a posy of proteas and roses.
