Well the groom in this wedding film didn’t just write a speech for his wedding – he wrote a book documenting his and his wife’s love story!

The story of Jenefer and Matt is truly beautiful… not only does Matt share a teaser from the book with their wedding guests, but he also makes a special announcement!

So they’ve got the book, and thanks to Reel Weddings they also have a pretty amazing chapter of their lives now captured on film. I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s heartfelt and truly magical…

We asked Bride Amanda, to fill us in on all the details. The proposal, dress, décor and song choice for their big day…

Brett and I met in year 10 and have been together since year 11. One night Brett took me out in the city, and proposed just before we went for dinner and drinks.

My dress is by the designer Jenny Packham. I got it sent over from a London boutique. After spending months looking in bridal stores I started looking online, found the Jenny Packham website, and a few minutes later I had bought my dress! It was the most amazing internet purchase I have ever made. Maybe crazy as well, considering I hadn’t tried it on! But it fit perfect and didn’t even need to be altered. I love it!

We had our wedding in a garden, underneath a beautiful big tree with love hearts hanging from it, and incorporated butterflies into the décor. My dress’ train was in the shape of butterfly wings and its name is “Papillion” so I knew it was meant to be.

I walked down the aisle to ‘I Won’t Let You Go’ by James Morrison and our reception entrance was to ‘Highway to Hell’ by ACDC. Our first dance was to ‘Making Memories of Us’ by Keith Urban.

It’s always a hard task culling photos for a feature, especially when the wedding is photographed by Popcorn Photography and every single image is amazing! Enjoy the details… we love that the bride wore a silver sixpence in her shoe for good luck!

From the Bride:

We first met when Linkon was working in the housing estate I lived in. He had been working there for quite a few months and had to concrete a footpath that lead into my street. I introduced myself and the rest is history!

He proposed to me on James Bond Island in Thailand while we were on holiday. We were eating ice cream and just before the boat left to go back to Patong Beach, he had me climb up into a cave, pretended he had a shell stuck in his foot and knelt down. When he showed me the shell that was ‘stuck in his foot’ it was actually a diamond ring and he asked “Will you marry me?”

Our wedding theme was Classic/French Vintage. Our tables were decorated with cherry blossom and willow in tall belly vases with glass tea light candle holders hanging from them.

I walked down the aisle to ‘You and Me’ by Lifehouse, and our reception entrance song was ‘Simply the Best’ by Tina Turner. That was Linkon’s pick!

With an organically arranged bouquet and centrepieces, every detail including the swoon-worthy, soft layered gowns by Sarah Seven and Samuelle Couture, fits perfectly with the natural hues of white, ivory and green used throughout the shoot. The Tuscan-inspired limestone villa also played a significant part in the incredibly elegant atmosphere, with credit to Joy de Vivre who styled the reception setting to perfection. Nothing short of old world glamour… with a simple, yet fancy fishtail side braid and all!

From the Bride:

We met nearly 4 years ago now. Marty’s cousin was dating one of my close friends so they both set us up! We both felt an instant connection as soon as we met and after dating for only a couple of months Marty had been accepted into the mines and had to move away, so asked me to move with him. With nothing to lose I decided to move with him and have never looked back! On our first year anniversary we went away for a weekend to the beach. Marty organised a cute picnic on the beach one night and proposed to me with the most beautiful diamond ring. I was so excited and happy that I would get to spend the rest of my life with the most amazing man.

My dress and the bridesmaid’s dresses were by Anna Campbell. Because we live so far away from any bridal shops, I only had two chances to try on dresses. The first time I went looking, I was so stressed out because I found nothing at all that I loved. I was getting very worried that I would never find my dream dress. The second time I went looking, I found a cute little boutique in the Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, called The Babushka Ballerina. As soon as I tried on my dress I knew it was the one, and didn’t bother trying on any others!

I walked down the aisle to ‘Marry Me’ by Train. We wanted to keep the ceremony short and sweet, which I definitely think we did. We had lots of fun with it and laughed and smiled the whole time… It was exactly what we wanted. Our reception entrance song was ‘Next to You’ by Chris Brown and first dance was to ‘Feels Like Home’ by Chantal Kreviazuk.

We had a photo booth at the reception which was so much fun! We had a book for our guests to stick a copy of their photo in, with a little message which we loved reading on our honeymoon flight to America.

Our vision was for a romantic wedding with touches of southern charm and almost rustic elements. Lots of soft pinks and grey were used, cotton, mason jars and babys breath.

We had a traditional ceremony in a beautiful historic church in downtown Charleston, SC. Walking down the aisle, the traditional Bridal March Chorus was played on the churches historic organ.

Living and growing up in the South, we are huge college football fans, so it was fitting that our entrance into the reception was the fight song for the Carolina Gamecocks – 2011 Space Odyssey.

Our first dance was to ‘Until You’ written by David Barnes. The Best Man is a fantastic singer and sang the song for us with just an acoustic guitar. It was incredibly sentimental and meant so much to have him perform it.

~ Melinda and Troy had their wedding rings engraved ‘a deal is a deal’. “We felt the meaning behind the saying meant so much to us and would always be a good humored reminder to work through any ups and downs in our marriage”.

Today we have one very chic wedding captured by VIBE Photography to share with you. The gorgeous bride Stacey tells us how this sweet soiree all started with a pick up line from her charming husband Paul, back in year 8 of school! Read more below…

From the Bride:

We met in high school in year 8, 2002 He went to an all-boys school and I was at the all-girls school across the road. Paul approached me one day on the schools oval to tell me “I was not throwing the football correctly” to my girlfriend and that id “Have to hang out with him so he could teach me how to throw it properly”. Although we didn’t start dating till year 12 (4 years later) he swears he had me from that day with that top pick up line!!

Paul and I were together 5 years when he proposed on my birthday in June 2011. He had organised an amazing dinner at a beautiful restaurant on the beach, after which Paul suggested a romantic moonlit walk up the hill to the beach lookout. Now it was the middle of winter, freezing cold and being in a dress I was not too excited to go. So after pleading my “Lets go home, cuddle up and watch the football’ case, Paul persisted. So reluctantly I went, with a bit of an “I’m freezing, I want to go home” attitude in tow. So then feeling bad due to my attitude, Paul stops half way to the lookout, turns to me and says “Ok we can go home, but first”…  Then one knee, an amazing diamond and a popped question later, I’m frozen in total shock, feeling absolutely terrible for making it so hard and answer with… “But I was such a pain. Are you sure?” to which he replied, “Please say yes babe.” Needless to say I went happily on the rest of the walk and the rest is history!

It took me a while to find the perfect dress. I tried on a hundred beautiful dresses from a lot of different bridal shops, but just didn’t quite feel right in any of them. When I eventually found the dress it was nothing like the style I had wanted or been looking for, but after my sister convinced me to try it on, I was in love! It was from Bridal Vision in Wetherill Park, NSW.

Our ceremony was a traditional Catholic Church ceremony and full mass at a gorgeous little old church – Holy Cross, South Kincumber. I walked down the aisle to a cover of ‘Ave Maria’ by Beyonce.

Our Reception entrance song was ‘Can You Feel the Love’ by Will.I.Am, and first dance was to Conor Maynard feat Ebony Day, ‘Next to You’ (Chris Brown Cover). My father/daughter dance was to ‘I Loved Her First’ by Hinterland.
